I admit it, I am a bit overwhelmed with the Lord of the Rings Online at the moment. That's a good thing and something another popular pve game never accomplished with me. There are a few reasons why I am in this state.
I did not start from scratch. Back in 2007 (has it been that long already?) I made this burglar and level him up to 21. Then I discovered the joys of pvmp and never looked back. The game has changed quite a bit since then, so my character is caught between two worlds.
It didn't help matters that after I killed a bear, I gained 3 levels. So now I am a confused level 24 Burglar, with new skills and no idea how to really play my character.
The skirmish system always looked neat, so I had to check it out. I did the tutorial and two skirmishes. Hmmm, now I am level 25, very close to 26. I have started to remember how to play, but I am still advancing.
I'm actually wary of doing more skirmishes because I don't want to level any more quite yet. My crafting was good for when I hit level 20, now it is inadequate for my current rank. My 2 crafted daggers are out of date, and I really want to get them upgraded before I start playing in earnest.
I'd also like to actually quest some and get out to see the world. Doing skirmishes seems like it will have me out-leveling content pretty quickly. Right now my burglar is not doing much of anything for fear of leveling until I get my crafting caught up. I guess it is a good problem to have.
